Godshill Village Hall Newsletter 65
It has been a while since we wrote with updates from the Village Hall, and here is the latest news of what we have been doing recently.
We have installed a new staircase at the back of the Hall with built-in cupboards underneath. We have also improved the front door which is now draught free, you will be pleased to know! Following this work, the inside of the Hall has been decorated throughout, refreshing the feel of the main room. The front door has also been painted and with a slight gloss in the paint, looks very smart, we feel.
The Hall was beautifully decorated to celebrate VE Day as you can see from the photograph above with poppies and flags. We will be replacing the railings outside the front door later in the summer to complete the update of the outside part of the Hall facing Woodgreen Road.
This work is to ensure that the Village Hall looks its best to celebrate its centenary this year! We will be having a weekend of events on 13 and 14 September to mark the occasion. More details will be announced in due course, and there is an outline of our plans inside this newsletter. Of course, we welcome any ideas of activities or events to help commemorate this wonderful milestone. Please do get in touch!
